Legal Advisor within the Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department of CHUV is looking to strengthen its teams with a legal advisor specialized in labor law (80% - 100%). Join a close-knit team working in a varied field, composed of more than 180 professions and within a complex and exciting legal framework!
Context
The Human Resources Department (HRD) has the main mission of attracting, recruiting, and developing the talent and skills of each employee so that CHUV can fulfill its missions of care, training of new professionals, and research at the highest level.
It also ensures favorable working conditions for the fulfillment of all its employees. Its other missions notably concern remuneration, administration, and human resources management.
The HRD collaborates with the 11 departmental HR teams to provide quality service to a population of nearly 13,000 employees.
The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and training.
Mission
You provide legal support to the HRD by analyzing specific situations reported by the departmental HR teams and proposing legal and pragmatic responses
You bring your expertise on any legal question related to human resources, including in the establishment or updating of directives concerning the HR field
- You ensure legal monitoring regarding case law related to labor law and directives issued by the DGRH
- You support HR function employees in conflict management and seeking amicable solutions, in compliance with the legal and regulatory framework
- You recommend concrete solutions and draft proposals for agreements
- You follow litigation procedures while representing the HRD in certain legal proceedings
- You act as the liaison between CHUV's HRD and the legal department of the State of Vaud regarding labor dispute actions opened against CHUV.
Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in Swiss law
- You have a specialization in labor law or social insurance
- You have at least 5 years of experience as a labor law legal advisor
- You have solid knowledge of the public sector, ideally in the health domain
- You are comfortable leading working groups or training related to your field of activity
- You possess an excellent level of French and have excellent writing skills
- You are able to manage multiple tasks autonomously
- You demonstrate team spirit
- You are pragmatic and service-oriented
- You enjoy contact and are proactive and enthusiastic
- You show strong stress resistance.
