What to expect
- Overall responsibility for the Engineering Department with the areas of Software Engineering and IT Operations (>100 employees)
- Direct leadership of the Heads of Engineering, Software Architects, and Head of IT Ops Development and implementation of our IT strategy and enterprise architecture
- Making technology decisions regarding cloud solutions, AI applications, the system landscape, and microservice architectures
- Ensuring the stable operation of our technical platforms
- Budget and resource responsibility for the engineering area
- Close collaboration with the CIO in the strategic management of the IT department
- Promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
What you bring
- University degree in computer science or a related field (mathematics, physics, data science) or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a CTO or in a comparable senior position in a larger company
- Solid knowledge in enterprise architectures, cloud technologies, microservices, and AI applications
- Practical experience as a software engineer and with modern languages
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and agile software development
- Strategic and analytical thinking with a strong results orientation
- Empathetic and inclusive leadership personality with a sense for employee development
- Fluent German and English skills
