The Child and Adult Protection Authority Glarus (KESB) is responsible for ensuring the protection of persons who cannot take care of their own affairs and are also unable to independently obtain the necessary support. The KESB is supported by its own clarification service, a secretariat, an auditing office, and an advisory office for private mandate holders.
We are looking for a
Lawyer KESB 80%
for the legal and clarification service in child and adult protection
starting March 1, 2026, or by arrangement, with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- In-depth clarifications regarding the need for care and protection as well as child welfare
- Clarifications regarding protective custody and various legal transactions
- Development of solutions on a voluntary or legal basis in cooperation with clients and their reference persons
- Preparation of comprehensive reports and decisions as a basis for authority decisions
- Support of authority members in specialist matters
- Participation in the further development of the interdisciplinary working KESB
- Preparation of consultations and statements as well as minute-taking at authority meetings and hearings
Requirements
- University degree in law
- Professional experience in social services and good knowledge of child and adult protection
- Fluency in spoken and written language
- High sense of responsibility and resilience
- Strong affinity for networked and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Social competence and assertiveness
