Job Description
We are looking for a secretary for our Orthopedic Pediatrics Unit.
In this role, you will welcome, inform, and direct people contacting the unit by phone.
You will organize activities by managing the doctors' electronic calendars and preparing the files of patients under care. After consultations, you will independently and promptly type medical reports. If necessary, you will schedule additional medical examinations.
While responding to various requests, you will successfully and autonomously carry out administrative tasks related to your role, such as processing medical information requests, updating and monitoring files, managing mail and email, ordering supplies, etc.
Within the team, you will develop a close relationship with your fellow medical secretaries.
More generally, your service-oriented mindset makes you a flexible person ready to use your versatility to serve the institution by working in different departments as needed.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a commercial employee and/or a diploma as a medical secretary, or any equivalent training deemed appropriate.
You have one to two years of successful experience in a similar position within a medical secretariat.
You have perfect command of French, both spoken and written, and proven writing skills. Medical terminology is easily understandable to you.
You must have a certificate proving an advanced ECDL level for Word, standard for Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and/or Web. Knowledge of software used at HUG (DPA, DPI, OPALE, GRECO, and Winscribe) is an additional asset.
Possessing a good team spirit, you are capable of working in a shared office and have good organizational and prioritization skills. You are autonomous, rigorous, and precise in the tasks assigned to you.
You also have the tools to handle unforeseen events and easily manage stressful situations.
Finally, you demonstrate a strong sense of confidentiality.
