Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of the interests of the child.
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages 47 structures distributed throughout the Canton of Geneva, has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers educational outpatient services at home. The FOJ is composed of 670 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a certified educator for its La Calanque home, an emergency reception center but also an observation structure that welcomes adolescents aged 13 to 18.
Job Description
Care, support, and assistance for beneficiaries living in the home, in close collaboration with the educational team.
Close collaboration with placement services, the health network, and the family to ensure comprehensive and adapted follow-up.
Support for parenting.
Irregular working hours depending on the needs of the young people and the organization of the home.
Activity rate: 80%
Contract duration: from January 2026
Contract type: permanent contract (CDI)
Class: 13 or 15 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva

Qualifications
Training:
Bachelor in social work – University of Applied Sciences of Social Work (HETS), or
Certified social educator – Higher School (ES), or
University Bachelor – FAPSE degree completed by one year of full-time professional practice in boarding school or IGE, or
Bachelor in nursing.
Foreign diplomas must imperatively have SEFRI recognition or an official equivalence.
Experience:
Significant experience with adolescents in difficulty is essential. Flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to diverse populations are expected.
Professional skills:
Ability to ensure autonomy and responsibility in supporting young people and their families
Team spirit, initiative, and ability to collaborate with various internal and external partners
Strong knowledge of the Geneva social network
Excellent writing skills in French.
Nationality / work permit:
Swiss nationality or valid work permit.
