About the job

For over 50 years, our international guests have been indulging in exotic drinks and Eurasian culinary delights at our world-famous Polynesian specialty restaurant Trader Vic's. To offer our guests the highest quality, we are looking to strengthen our kitchen team as soon as possible.

• active participation in planning, monitoring, and achieving the budget
• ensuring and monitoring the quantitative and qualitative staffing levels: responsibility for the duty and vacation planning of all employees
• motivating leadership of the entire service team, taking into account the established leadership principles. Ensuring and increasing service quality through the implementation of qualification measures for employees.
• actively fulfilling the host role towards our guests, as well as receiving and resolving complaints.
• performing administrative tasks, such as managing and maintaining the guest file and handling reservations.
• planning, preparing, and conducting the standard daily business and ensuring smooth operations
• ensuring correct billing, maintaining the cash book, and depositing cash
• controlling inventory and compliance with legal hygiene regulations (HACCP)
• monitoring and ensuring quality standards throughout the restaurant area

• successfully completed vocational training as a restaurant specialist or comparable qualification
• several years of professional experience in upscale hospitality or gastronomy as well as initial leadership experience
• strong business acumen
• proficiency in common software programs such as MS Office
• very good German and English skills, additional foreign language is an advantage
