The Migration Office of the Canton of Zurich operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues and the resulting tasks. It is responsible for the enforcement of Swiss foreigner and asylum law, the agreement on the free movement of persons between Switzerland and the EU and EFTA states, as well as the Schengen and Dublin agreements.
For the Public Services department, we are looking for a Team Leader Contact Center 100% starting April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
In this demanding management position, you are responsible for the professional and personnel leadership of a team of around 15 employees. Your tasks include supporting and supervising employees in the areas of visa extensions, return visas, declarations of commitment for visitors, and Swiss travel documents for foreign persons. You handle difficult individual cases and ensure, together with the team, the correct provision of information and answering of migration law questions across the entire scope of the Migration Office. You have intensive contact with foreigners and their legal representatives, companies, associations, residents' registration offices, employment offices, the police, as well as the SEM and Swiss representations abroad. Furthermore, you are responsible for organizing the timely completion of the hectic daily business as well as for the onboarding, training, information, and further education of the team members and act as deputy for the Team Leader Information Center.
For this responsible and interesting leadership role, you have a completed bachelor's degree or a federal specialist certificate as well as several years of professional and preferably leadership experience. You are an open personality with high professional and social competence and possess a pronounced organizational flair. In addition to very good English skills, further foreign language skills are desired. Initiative, commitment, and reliability complete your profile. You hold Swiss citizenship.
