Intern Flex-Pooling (f/m/d)

Workload: 100% | temporary for 6 months

In your role as a intern in Flex-Pooling Team, you will gain valuable experience in operating, optimizing and managing Axpo’s flexible assets all over Europe. With your skills, we’re reaching our goals even better and faster and you can enjoy our freedom and flexibility to implement your own ideas and solutions.

What you will do:


  • Optimally allocate the flexibility of Axpo’s Flex-Pool to different markets (ancillary services, Intraday, Spot, Peak-Shaving etc.)

  • Develop and maintain tools for the automation of our market and trading processes

  • Monitor the quality of our provided services

  • Capture of billing-relevant information for our Flex-Pooling customers

  • Help us expand our flexibility pool in Europe

What you bring & who you are:


  • You have a master degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field

  • You have affinity with the energy and power market sector

  • Proficiency in Python, git, SQL, and CI/CD (confidence with Matlab is helpful)

  • Solid understanding of Dataframes and data manipulation libraries like Pandas

  • You are interested in understanding the European flexibility market and its development

  • You are interested in working in coding tasks aimed at automating operations and trading processes in a clean and robust manner

  • You have the ability to put yourself out of your comfort zone

  • You speak fluently English. German and French are a plus
