This position reports to

Sales Supp. Mgr.-Configuration&Quotation

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you support the Sales assigned organization (Division & Market) and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area in Smart Power, PG Power Protection, for our global sales team.

Reporting to the Center of Expertise Bid & Proposal Manager, your attention to detail and ability to negotiate with multiple partners will be vital to this key component of project planning.

• Offers technical advice and provides comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Specialists with regard to ABB UPS products/systems/applications
• Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations
• Acts as the single point of contact for export business for Power Protection products manufactured in Richmond, VA
• Supports preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives
• Contributes to an effective, positive customer relationship throughout the sales process
• Assures global standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations/project execution and shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in working with UPS Systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Collaborative, solution-focused approach with good written and spoken communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written (Italian, French or German speaking is considered as a plus)
