Visual Merchandising Creative Designer Travel Retail EMEAA

We are looking for a highly motivated Visual Merchandising Creative Designer Travel Retail EMEAA to join our Concept and Visual Merchandising Travel Retail team!
In this role, you will be developing the Travel Retail permanent animation tools and catalogue as well as the Animations & Events for the L'OCCITANE Group.
The position is based in Plan-Les-Ouates (near Geneva) and reports to the Head of Store Concept and Visual Merchandising Travel Retail.


  • Design Travel Retail point of sale animations for the brands campaigns and product launches following the marketing calendar, in line with the group strategy and budgets;
  • Design Travel Retail semi personalized spaces and associate guidelines for the different L'Occitane brands and give technical recommendations;
  • Participate in the creation of the Pop Ups and Concept Stores. In addition, bring new ideas to improve the customer experience in stores (services, digital experience, merchandising ideas);
  • Manage projects from the brief to the execution: create, sketch, render, test, prototype and communicate to deliver creative and technical design packages to international markets and countries;
  • Take care of the Travel Retail visual charter, constantely keeping it up to date and communicate with the team on the latest updates;
  • Deal with the VM catalog, making sure it is well updated and the stocks are suffisante;
  • Responsible for development of new permanent POSM tools, for which you follow-up on stocks and update them on the VM catalog;
  • Adapt global brand artwork to regional needs, and create generic planograms and according guidelines to communicate with the team and clients;
  • Collaborate with an international creative VM community and also with the different stakeholders working on the project (ex: Communication / Graphic / PR);
  • Create visual presentations to highlight your work and your creative ideas with the team and suppliers;
  • Produce visual printing artworks for the campaign animations.


  • Graduated from a Visual Merchandising / Store Design school;
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role ideally in the Travel Retail industry;
  • Fluent in English, French is a strong plus;
  • Excellent knowledge in 3D design and technical conception (SketchUP, SketchUp Layout) as well as 3D rendering (Keyshot) and in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator) to bring your creative ideas to life;
  • Strong interest in retail, cosmetic, design and graphic arts;
  • Curious and aware of the new trends in retail design, digital innovations and in brand-new store concepts;
  • Strong aesthetic vision and sensibility with the ability to influence and inspire the team with creative and modern ideas;
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and team-player with the ability to help your team to swiftly define the operational needs;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details with the ability to lead and build projects with accuracy and efficiency;
  • Strong customer centricity mindset and business acumen, results focused with the ability to work under pressure and handle various priorities;
  • Appetite for change and challenges and at ease in an international fast-paced environment.
