The Kusnacht Practice is currently recruiting a Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist, who will play a key role in supporting sound financial management and reporting within an exclusive and dynamic environment. Our international team places great value on precision, integrity, and discretion in all areas of our work. In this position, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the full range of accounting and controlling tasks while collaborating closely with internal departments and external partners. This is an on-site position, based in Zollikon, ZH.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage company accounting processes (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger)
- Handle payment transactions and liquidity planning
- Manage the monthly payroll run, including social insurances and tax at source (Quellensteuer)
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements according to Swiss accounting standards (OR)
- Manage the annual consolidation process
- Provide controlling support to ensure cost-effective financial management
- Produce evaluations, analyses, and statistical reports
- Prepare VAT returns, including group taxation
- Coordinate with external auditors, fiduciary partners, and authorities
- Support internal financial and process-improvement projects
- Perform general administrative tasks related to finance
- Lead financial planning and analysis activities to support business strategy and expansion
- Evaluate the financial viability of new business opportunities and provide actionable recommendations
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team on strategic initiatives and investment decisions
- Drive continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls
- Mentor colleagues and foster a culture of accountability and excellence
- Completed advanced training in accounting (eidg. Fachausweis in Finanz- und Rechnungswesen)
- 10+ years proven professional experience in a Swiss SME or international environment
- Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting and payroll software (ideally Abacus and/or Bexio, or comparable systems)
- Precise, independent, and structured working style
- High level of discretion and a strong sense of responsibility
- Team-oriented, flexible, and able to perform well under pressure
- Excellent written and spoken English (C1 level) and German skills (C1 level)
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland
