Data Scientist (f/m/d), 100% in Digital Manufacturing
To drive our continuous organic growth, we are constantly looking for highly qualified professionals. To strengthen our team in the Digital Manufacturing department, we are looking for a dedicated Data Scientist (f/m/d), 100%.
Your Tasks:
- Analyze manufacturing and process data across the full production lifecycle and deliver meaningful insights for operations, engineering, and quality.
- Develop advanced analytics to support CPV, root‑cause investigations, and process improvements. Support batch reporting and data extraction.
- Manage and expand Bachem's data analytics capabilities, including dashboards, reports and ad-hoc analyses.
- Serve as a functional expert for the PI System (PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Vision) and support end users in retrieving, structuring, and interpreting time‑series data.
- Contribute to end-to-end concepts for data pipelines connecting PI Historian, MES (PAS-X), PCS, and other OT/IT systems to analytical or reporting platforms.
- Support investigations, risk assessments, and continued process verification with data‑driven evidence and analysis.
Your Profile:
- University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience working with manufacturing or process data, ideally in a GMP or regulated environment.
- Solid programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL, R) and experience with analytical or visualization tools (PI Vision, Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau).
- Ability to understand manufacturing processes and translate operational needs into data visualization, algorithms, and analytical solutions.
- Familiarity with GMP, data integrity (ALCOA+), and validation activities related to analytics and data systems.
- Dedicated, self‑driven personality who enjoys taking initiative and collaborating across a fast‑paced operational environment.
- Solid knowledge of German is a strong plus.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or biotech industry, ideally in process development or MSAT.
- Knowledge of MES, LIMS, or automation systems (e.g., PLC/SCADA) and how they integrate with data analytics platforms.
