As a Global Drying Process Specialist at HITACHI ENERGY LTD, you will be instrumental in optimizing and standardizing drying processes across our global operations. You will drive efficiency, quality, and cost reduction through process analysis, definition, and continuous improvement initiatives.
How you'll make an impact:

Define, document, and standardize drying processes globally, ensuring alignment with best practices and company objectives. Analyze existing drying processes & equipment to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Develop and implement process control strategies, including statistical process control (SPC) and quality assurance measures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, production, and supply chain, to ensure seamless process integration and optimization. Provide technical expertise and training to manufacturing teams on new and improved processes and equipment.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for drying processes, reporting on performance and progress.

Conduct root cause analysis for drying defects and process deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions. Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in drying process definition and improvement.

Support the development and deployment of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and other digital manufacturing solutions.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external & internal regulations, procedures & guidelines.
Your Background

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical) or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience in manufacturing process engineering, process improvement, or a similar role within a global manufacturing environment.

Proven expertise in drying process & equipment definition, documentation, and standardization.Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred, e.g., Green Belt or Black Belt).

Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality control tools. Proficiency in process mapping tools and software.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across different cultures, organizational levels, and global teams.

Ability to travel internationally as required.

Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
