Syntes AG (“Syntes”) is seeking to add an:
As the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the organization's information technology (IT) strategies and initiatives. In this capacity, you will oversee IT alignment with business goals and promote innovation in areas such as data management, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. A key part of your role will involve working closely with our data processing partners to enhance information management, security, and privacy while ensuring futureproof innovation. Your primary goal will be to ensure that IT operations not only support business needs but also minimize risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic IT Planning: Develop and execute a strategic IT roadmap that aligns with the organization's key business objectives and interests. Spearhead initiatives in emerging technologies to drive IT business efficiency, improve IT security posture, and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
- IT Governance and Risk Management: Define IT policies, processes, and standards to safeguard the integrity and security of the company's data and IT systems. Actively manage IT risks to avert potential disruptions to business operations.
- Information Security and Data Privacy: Develop and enforce an effective information security plan and data privacy protocols, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data and IT systems.
- IT Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for and lead initiatives aimed at improving IT processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Data Management: Oversee the design and implementation of robust data management strategies and policies, ensuring data integrity and privacy in line with regulatory requirements.
- Partner Relations and Oversight: Cultivate strong relationships with data processing partners, offering guidance and support to enhance information management, security, and privacy. Ensure seamless alignment between the company's IT infrastructure and our partners’ systems for efficient data exchange and collaboration.
- Organizational Leadership and Partner Cooperation: Lead the organization and its partners in a cooperative and innovative manner to align technology strategies for the benefit of the overall structure. Create an environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and shared success.
- Project Management: Supervise all IT-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the organization's requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with IT strategic planning, IT governance, IT Architecture, and IT risk management.
- In-depth understanding of cloud services, information management, information security and privacy, information risk, and organisational processes.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence cloud related services.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with IT process improvement methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT, especially in the areas of information security and data privacy.
As the CIO, you will report directly to the CEO.
The ideal candidate will be able to commute to Syntes’ office in Vaduz every day of the week.
