3D Prototyping & Machine Technical Assembly
Whether you are seeking a Vorpraktikum to prepare for a future degree at a Fachhochschule (FH), or you are a self-taught maker with excellent practical skills, we offer an environment where you can learn, build, and grow.
In this role, you will…
CAD Design & Modification: Update and optimize existing 3D models, generate production drawings, and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) under the supervision of our lead engineer.
3D Printing & Post-Processing: Manage our FDM 3D printer, prepare slicing profiles, change materials, and perform post-processing tasks (sanding, washing, support removal).
Electronics & Soldering: Assemble prototype circuit boards, perform manual throughhole (THT) and surface-mount (SMD) soldering, and wire internal components.
Testing & Lab Support: Assist in building physical functional prototypes and setting up test benches for validation cycles.
Workshop Maintenance: Ensure the workshop, tools, and rapid prototyping equipment are maintained to a safe, clean, and organized standard.
For this role, you will need…
Technical Mindset: Strong hobbyist, maker, or technical background with a deep passion for hardware and electronics.
Software Familiarity: Basic experience with 3D CAD modeling tools (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Onshape) and 3D printing slicing software is preferred.
Manual Dexterity: A steady hand for fine soldering tasks and manual mechanical assembly.
Work Style: Solution-oriented, structured, eager to learn new engineering skills, and capable of taking constructive feedback.
Languages:Good working knowledge of English or French.
