To strengthen our dynamic team in Zurich, we are looking for an independent
Senior Mechanical Engineer (w/m/d)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic Innovation team. This
role focuses on the mechanical and thermal design aspects of our product development, encompassing a variety of
applications and standards. The ideal candidate will be adept in handling diverse projects, ranging from
module-compatible enclosures to advanced heat dissipation solutions, with a strong foundation in VPX and VNX
standards, thermal simulation, mechanical design, and vibration analysis.
Main responsibilities:
- Mechanical Design:
- Develop and refine mechanical components and systems, including heat dissipation solutions like
spreaders and sinks, specifically tailored for our diverse product range - Innovate and enhance connector mechanisms and modular assemblies, ensuring robustness and reliability.
- Design versatile enclosures for various applications, with a focus on modularity and compatibility.
- Advance the development of specialized enclosures adhering to VPX and VNX standards, targeting critical
applications. - Create RF component designs incorporating EMI shielding and protection, suited for high-frequency
applications. - Engineer and optimize tools and processes for efficient assembly of thermal components.
- Develop and refine mechanical components and systems, including heat dissipation solutions like

- Conduct advanced thermal simulations and modeling to support product development and provide critical data
for client applications. - Engage in the design and validation of thermal interface materials and gap pads, enhancing product
efficiency and reliability. - Lead thermal analysis and validation processes for various enclosures, ensuring optimal performance under
diverse conditions.

- Form Factor Development:
- Spearhead the creation and standardization of new form factors, addressing industry needs and guiding future
product designs.

Skills and Qualification:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: Proven expertise in mechanical and thermal engineering, with a focus on industry standards such as VPX and VNX and hands on experience FPGA SoM Design.
- Technical Skills: Strong skills in thermal simulation, mechanical design, and analysis, shock and vibration analysis, advanced electronics experience and computational fluid dynamics expertise, preferably in a high-tech environment.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication abilities, teamwork orientation, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership: Experience in leading technical projects and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Language: Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
