Introduction
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically strong Financial Controller to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing expenditure across a broad portfolio of projects, building rigorous investment models, and providing financial transparency to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with project managers, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure that every euro is tracked, justified, and optimally allocated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Expense Control & Project Oversight
• Monitor, track, and control all expenses across a large and varied project portfolio
• Implement and maintain robust cost control processes and reporting frameworks
• Identify budget variances early and work with project leads to take corrective action
• Prepare regular financial reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders
Investment Modelling & Valuation
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate return on investment (ROI) across projects and business cases
• Apply standard valuation methodologies (DCF, NPV, IRR, payback period) to assess project viability
• Present investment recommendations clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders
• Support M&A, capital allocation, and strategic planning initiatives as required
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Analyze financial performance against targets and provide actionable insights
• Collaborate with other departments to gather data and ensure financial accuracy
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Technical Background
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Solid grounding in economic and financial principles, including corporate valuation and capital markets
• Strong understanding of how company valuations work (DCF, comparable multiples, asset-based approaches)
Tools & Software
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills — including complex formulas, pivot tables, scenario analysis, and financial model construction
• Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience with ERP or financial planning systems is an advantage
Languages
• English - fluent (required); business-level communication in both written and spoken form
• German - fluent (required); ability to handle financial documentation and stakeholder communication
• French - conversational or business-level (a strong plus)
• Any other language is a plus
