Post-Doctoral (Senior SNSF) Researcher in Accounting

Start date: June 01, 2026
Duration of contract: 1 to 3 years maximum
Employment rate: 80 to 100%
Salary: Gross between 85'819 and 95'957 CHF per year (100% position depending on candidate experience)
Work location: HEC Lausanne-UNIL, Anthropole Building
Your responsibilities
The successful candidate will work on the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Project “The Impact of Western Sustainability Regulations on the Global South” together with Gaia Melloni and colleagues from the University of Lausanne, University of Neuchâtel, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The position involves working with firm-level supply chain, ESG, and financial data to build the main dataset for the project, conducting statistical analyses, and contributing to the development of academic papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals. The candidate will also perform selected administrative tasks related to the SNSF project and will have the opportunity to conduct and develop her or his own research within the broader scope of the project and the department’s research agenda
Your qualifications
Essential
• PhD degree in Accounting or related field (e.g., Economics, Finance, and Management);
• Excellent skills in quantitative data collection, management, and statistical analysis;
• Excellent coding and programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Stata);
• Strong interest in research in the fields of sustainability accounting, Environmental, Social, and Governance regulation, and/or global supply chains;
• Fluency in English.
Desired
• Experience in working with supply chain data (e.g., Factset Revere, S&P Global Panjiva, GDELT);
• Experience in working with ESG data (e.g., RepRisk);
• Strong academic writing skills.
