Ärztekasse is renewing its entire datacenter and the products affected by this transformation. To support this digitalization step, we are looking for smart and experienced engineers to contribute and shape clever and creative solutions for a meaningful industry.
Database Engineer (w/m)
Pensum: 80-100%
Start: immediately or by appointment
Duration: unlimited
Location: Geneva area (Thônex) or Zurich area (Urdorf)
Main Tasks
- Manage, operate and optimize our database platforms (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Maria DB, MS SQL, SAP ASE (Sybase), Redis, RabbitMQ)
- Ensure performance, reliability, availability and security of the databases
- Perform performance tuning of database systems
- Analyse metrics for capacity planning and proactively address performance issues
- Implement and maintain DevOps practices using tools like Mimir, Flux and Helm
- Manage databases within our Kubernetes-based cloud platform
- Uphold high standards of data security and compliance in a regulated environment
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Database Engineer or Administrator
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Maria DB, SAP ASE (Sybase), Redis and RabbitMQ are a plus
- Experience with databases in a cloud-native environment, particularly Kubernetes
- Strong background in DevOps and automation
- Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory compliance
- Innovative mindset and passion for impactful eHealth solutions
- English is required; German or French is a plus
