Financial Analyst 80-100% (Initial duration of 6 to 9 months, with potential for extension)

Job Description

In this position you are responsible for:

• Contribute to the successful execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and group reporting of STAAR Surgical AG and its non-US affiliates
• Support annual budgeting as well as monthly forecasting activities, including analysis of actual results vs. plan/prior period and discussion of same / outlook with the responsible department heads
• Assist in preparation and submission of periodic VAT/GST returns for relevant jurisdictions (such as Switzerland, Germany, or UK), including collaboration with external consultants and authorities
• Prepare, book VAT/GST related journal entries as well as analyze and reconcile VAT/GST accounts on a monthly basis
• Help ensure compliance with US SOX requirements and support internal and external financial audits
• Perform analyses and support finance projects as needed

Your profile

• Commercial apprenticeship or similar or high school diploma with relevant internships
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
• Very good English skills is a must, both in oral and written, French and/or German desirable, any other language is a plus
• Excellent professional IT Skills (especially in MS Office)
• Able to work in an international environment and in virtual teams, very well structured, organized, and flexible
