Our company is further expanding by setting up a brand-new manufacturing site located in Nidau. In order to reinforce our Finance Department in Brügg, we are currently recruiting a professional for the temporary position as
Job Description
In this position you are responsible for:
- Contribute to the successful execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and group reporting of STAAR Surgical AG and its non-US affiliates
- Support annual budgeting as well as monthly forecasting activities, including analysis of actual results vs. plan/prior period and discussion of same / outlook with the responsible department heads
- Assist in preparation and submission of periodic VAT/GST returns for relevant jurisdictions (such as Switzerland, Germany, or UK), including collaboration with external consultants and authorities
- Prepare, book VAT/GST related journal entries as well as analyze and reconcile VAT/GST accounts on a monthly basis
- Help ensure compliance with US SOX requirements and support internal and external financial audits
- Perform analyses and support finance projects as needed
Your profile
- Commercial apprenticeship or similar or high school diploma with relevant internships
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Very good English skills is a must, both in oral and written, French and/or German desirable, any other language is a plus
- Excellent professional IT Skills (especially in MS Office)
- Able to work in an international environment and in virtual teams, very well structured, organized, and flexible
