This role is based in our Operational Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. Please note that we can only accept applicants who are eligible to work in Switzerland or in possession of a valid work permit.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Recruiting Manager plays a critical role as the organization’s first direct point of contact for external talent. As the Recruiting Manager you shape candidates’ perceptions of Viking’s culture, professionalism, and values - you serve as their window into what it means to be a Viking.
The Recruiting Manager leads end-to-end recruitment for office-based roles, ensuring the attraction, selection, and hiring of high-quality talent aligned with business needs. This role partners closely with hiring managers, HR colleagues, Recruiting Marketing and External Agencies to deliver an efficient, inclusive, and candidate‑focused hiring process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for office positions
- Drive and oversee comprehensive screening, interview processes, assessments, and offer negotiations
- Identify optimization opportunities and ensure quality, consistency and transparency of the recruitment process
- Drive continuous improvement of recruitment processes and systems to enable scalable, data‑driven, and future‑ready talent acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and selection criteria
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using internal and external channels, including agencies network
- Ensure a positive candidate experience and strong employer branding
- Monitor recruitment metrics and continuously improve processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local labor regulations
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven hands-on Experience (at least 2 years) in recruitment or talent acquisition in an international environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of recruitment systems and data-driven hiring process (KPI-based management)
- Very good MS Office skills and digital savviness
- Administrative experience with attention to details
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Open for new ideas and solution-oriented
- Professional appearance and commitment to representing the employer brand
- High empathy level and ability to interact with various levels of seniority
- Discreet and comfortable in handling confidential data
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, psychology or a related field
NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience using SAP SuccessFactors
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other active sourcing platforms
- Fluency in German or other languages
- Interest in AI driven process improvements is an asset
