EHS Manager BioAtrium (m/f/d)

The EHS Manager (m/f/d) is driving the successful implementation and optimization of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety (EHS) programs jointly with the BioAtrium manufacturing organization, as well is the first contact person for all EHS aspects in operations and enables the business to produce in a safe and sustainable environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as point of contact for EHS topics and supporting BioAtrium Visp in achieving compliance with EHS regulations

  • Supporting the business in performing EHS (risk) assessments and approval of change requests

  • Participating in and providing subject matter expertise during Safety Gemba Walks, audits and other inspections

  • Facilitating execution and documentation of EHS incident investigations

  • Supporting the business with EHS CAPA definition and tracking

  • Collaborating closely with the Safety Coaches from BioAtrium as part of the implementation of EHS initiatives

  • Conducting trainings on EHS topics as laid out in the overall site EHS training strategy

  • Acting as representative of site EHS for allocated investment projects within BioAtrium

  • Coordinating EHS performance reportings for BioAtrium

  • Supporting the BioAtrium emergency response organization

Key requirements:

  • Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or equivalent

  • Significant working experience in chemical or biological manufacturing, ideally in a leading role

  • Swiss safety engineer (EKAS) or comparable EHS qualification

  • In-depth knowledge of Swiss safety regulations

  • Advanced experience in occupational or process safety in a scientific or technical environment

  • Fluency in English and German
