Responsibilities
Societe Generale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes payment and cash management, cash clearing services, trade services, factoring and foreign exchange services associated to these activities.
GTB integrates all the expertise and services required to facilitate the daily transactional activities of major economic and financial actors both in a domestic and international scope.
The responsiveness and dynamism of our teams, their accurate knowledge of market trends and regulations, the strength of our networks and our diverse range of products allow us to optimize the daily management of the cash flow, the commercial and financial transactions for our corporate clients.

Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Objectives of internship
Support GTB sales origination and client engagement across Corporates, NBFIs, and Commodity clients, including active participation in client meetings and calls
Prepare and contribute to commercial proposals, pricing, and tailored cash management, trade finance, and liquidity and working capital solutions
Assist in credit analysis and internal approval processes (financial analysis, credit memos, risk opinions)
Ensure efficient execution through cross-functional collaboration (Legal, Compliance, Credit, Operations), supporting onboarding/KYC and monitoring client activity and profitability
As GTB Junior Sales, you will support the Swiss Sales team in Marketing and Sales Activities with Corporates and Non-Bank Financial Institutions. You will report to the Head of GTB Specialist and Junior Sales
Products and services to be marketed will include, amongst others:
Domestic and international means of payment
Foreign Exchange (when related to cross-border payments)
Electronic Banking products as well as associated services
Liquidity Management solutions
Trade finance services
Working Capital Solutions
The role requires a strong client service orientation, interest for commercial steering and understanding of risk processes. A good analytical and communication skills as well as professional integrity at all times are requires.
You shall be an effective team player and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Tasks and responsibilities:
Support sales team in the origination and development of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) business with Non-Bank Financial Institutions, Corporate and Commodity clients
Contribute to the credit applications and risk opinions for internal approval committees, including detailed analysis and recommendations
Assist in identifying client needs across cash management, trade finance, and working capital solutions
Prepare client pitches, proposals, and pricing grids in coordination with Sales and product teams
Follow up on commercial opportunities and contribute to pipeline management and reporting
Coordinate internally with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Credit teams to ensure smooth deal execution and onboarding
Support KYC and account opening processes in collaboration with onboarding teams
Monitor client activity, revenues (NBI), and profitability to support business development initiatives
Participate in client meetings and preparation of meeting materials and minutes
- Ensure high quality of client service and timely response to requests
Profile required
Studies & experience:
Graduate with a master’s degree
Ideal past experience in Banking, Cash Management, Trade Finance, Working Capital
Language skills:
English – C1
French or German would be considered a plus
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
Highly proficient with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills
Experience or interest in commercial banking / Cash Management, Trade Finance working
Pro-active team player
Time management, organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills for pitching, other languages could be useful for this position.
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Comfortable and confident to speak / present to clients and SG senior management
