CAFÉ & LUNCH ALLROUNDER

12–18 hours/week · Hourly contract · Basel Dreispitz Starting October 2026

Bicicletta Café is an independent urban café inside a bike store in Basel Dreispitz — a small, dynamic place built around pinsa, coffee, fresh food and cycling culture.

From October 2026, we’re looking for a new Café & Lunch Allrounder to join our team.

THE JOB

We are looking for someone available for approximately 12–18 hours per week, mainly Wednesday to Saturday.

This is a real allrounder position. Depending on the moment, you'll work between coffee & bar service, counter and cash register, customer service, food preparation, pinsa, salads and snacks, food display, mise en place and general organization of the café.

You don't need to be a chef.

What matters to us is that you're quick, organized, friendly, proactive and able to work independently once trained.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous experience in hospitality, cafés, bakeries, restaurants or similar environments is preferred.

Barista experience is a plus.

We're particularly looking for someone who is:

• reliable and punctual;
• friendly and naturally welcoming with customers;
• well-presented and professional;
• quick to learn and hands-on;
• organized and calm during busy periods;
• able to see what needs doing without constantly being told;
• comfortable taking responsibility and solving small problems independently.

German sufficient to confidently serve customers is important. English is highly appreciated; Italian is a plus.

CONTRACT & SALARY

Hourly contract.

Starting workload approximately 12–18 hours per week, mainly Wednesday–Saturday.

Salary will be agreed according to previous experience, skills and level of responsibility.
