For our site in Prague, we are looking for Converter Test Engineer.

In this role you will perform the following tasks:

  • Testing of converters (thyristor + IGBT) with power ranging from 0.5MW to 10MW, according to international standards
  • Participating in the development of power converters
  • Commissioning of power converters at customer sites (worldwide)
  •  Providing training to our customers in field of power converters in subtastionsAdvanced setup of converter controllers (choosing control strategy)
  • Ensuring complete functionality of the HW/SW converter room.
  • Uploading and debugging of software or minor adjustments in software
  • Uploading and debugging of firmwares
  • Administrative activities related to testing and commissioning of power converters
  • Providing overall support during handover of the  power converter to the customer
  • Close cooperation with the company headquarters in Geneva

What we expect:

  • Education in electrical engineering
  • 2 years of experience in electronical field  (power electronics filed is strong advantage)
  • Higher knowledge of power converter & power network principles –and PID controllers (PWM, PFC)
  • Willingness to travel
  • English at a communicative level to lead meetings, tests and troubleshootings
  • Communication talent, ability to communicate with customers
  • Professional competence according to the Decree NV 194/2022 § 6 (obsolete No. 50/1978 Coll.)
  • Reliability, diligence, flexibility, independence
