As Finance Director Switzerland, you will lead all finance-related activities for the Swiss business and act as a key business partner to the local management team. You will oversee financial operations, planning, and reporting processes while ensuring strategic alignment with Group Finance. This role combines hands-on operational execution with strategic financial leadership.
Based in Basel and reporting to the Managing Director Switzerland, you will play a central role in shaping the financial direction of the Swiss entity, supporting growth, profitability, and sound decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations for the Swiss entity, including accounting, reporting, controlling, and budgeting.
- Act as a strategic sparring partner to the Swiss management team - going beyond the numbers to provide actionable insights that drive performance.
- Prepare and present monthly management reports, financial analyses, and performance dashboards to both local and group management.
- Collaborate closely with Group Finance and a Shared Service Center responsible for transactional accounting activities.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and ensure robust controls and governance.
- Oversee statutory accounting, tax filings, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and tax authorities.
- Support the Managing Director and department heads with financial insights to guide operational and strategic decisions.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controlling, ideally combining both operational and strategic exposure.
- Strong analytical mindset - you're curious about what's behind the numbers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience in an international and fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable working both strategically and operationally.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
