ABOUT SWISS COBOTICS COMPETENCE CENTER (S3C):
S3C is a non-profit association located in Biel/Bienne. As a research institution of national importance, S3C is being funded by the "Advanced Manufacturing Technology Transfer Centers" (AM-TTC) initiative.
At S3C, we combine latest research with industrial application, creating real-world flexible automation solutions with collaborative robotics (cobots), humanoid robots, and intelligent systems. We provide testing, consulting and training services to manufacturing end-users, robot and system integrators and technology providers.
YOUR PROFILE:
- BSc, MSc or technician degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, or a related field.
- Strong practical skills in automation, machine design, system integration, and industrial robotics.
- Experience in robot programming, preferably with collaborative robots, industrial robots, or mobile robotic systems.
- Hands-on experience with CAD, mechanical design, prototyping, commissioning, or troubleshooting of automation systems.
- Solid knowledge of sensors, actuators, electrical systems, control systems, and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience in applied research, innovation projects, technology transfer, or industry-oriented R&D is an advantage.
- Creative thinker with the ability to design innovative solutions and tackle problems from new perspectives.
- Curious, eager to learn, and comfortable experimenting with cutting-edge robotics technologies.
- Proactive, flexible, and responsible team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: German, French and English.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the design, development and testing of humanoid and collaborative robotic systems as part of innovation and research projects addressing real industry challenges.
- Design mechanical, electrical, and automation concepts for flexible robotic applications.
- Program, configure, and test collaborative robots, industrial robots, sensors, actuators, and automation components.
- Develop practical automation solutions, prototypes, and demonstrators for industrial use cases.
- Plan and execute test and validation loops together with clients and partners.
- Assist in preparing and running technical demonstrations and training sessions in robotics.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
