Your position
We combine mouse tumour models, immunology, molecular biology, flow cytometry, imaging and single-cell approaches to investigate how neurons, immune cells and stromal cells communicate within the tumour microenvironment.
The position offers a varied role combining laboratory organization with hands-on experimental support. The exact balance of responsibilities can be adapted according to the successful candidate's experience and interests.
Your responsibilities
? Laboratory management and organization
? Coordinate the day-to-day organization of the laboratory.
? Maintain stocks of reagents, consumables and laboratory supplies.
? Place and track orders and communicate with suppliers and institutional services.
? Maintain laboratory inventories, equipment records, safety documentation and shared protocols.
? Support the organization of mouse colonies, experimental schedules and genotyping.
? Help establish efficient laboratory procedures and ensure that shared spaces are well organized.
? Support the onboarding and training of new laboratory members.
? Assist with administrative tasks related to research projects, animal licences and laboratory documentation.
Experimental support
? Support ongoing research projects through laboratory-based experimental work.
? Perform cell culture, routine molecular and cellular biology techniques.
? Assist with tissue processing, and harvests
? Support experiments using preclinical tumour models, depending on experience and relevant training.
? Prepare buffers, media and reagents and maintain commonly used laboratory stocks.
? Contribute to the development, optimization and documentation of experimental protocols.
? Work closely with PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and other members of the laboratory.

Your profile
Training as a biological laboratory technician, biomedical analyst, research technician, or a degree in biology, biomedical sciences, immunology or a related discipline.
Previous experience working in an academic research laboratory.
Practical experience working with and organizing animal colonies is essential.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to take responsibility for shared laboratory activities and to support a collaborative research environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German would be an advantage but is not essential.
Experience in laboratory management is welcome but not mandatory. Applications from candidates at different career stages will be considered, and the responsibilities can be adjusted according to experience.
