What to expect
- You manage large and complex IT projects end to end from planning, conception to implementation
- You work closely with our IT department and coordinate and manage activities between our business departments and external partners
- You analyze problems and work with the project team to develop solutions and recommendations
- You actively drive the decision finding process jointly with all relevant stakeholders
- You support process teams, coordinate cross-functional considerations, integrate and optimize workflows, implement and establish best practices
- You identify and develop working relationships with Business and IT functions at all levels; ensures that representatives from all functions are kept appropriately informed about project activities to encourage an active and effective team collaboration
- You prepare regular status updates and decision-making documents for the steering committee and the executive committee
- You communicate transparently and escalate / report problems in the project in a timely manner
- You ensure that project targets are met and manage project risks, including risk mitigation measures
- You are responsible for the budget, timeline, and resources, including quality assurance of the deliverables
The skills you'll bring
- Completed studies (Uni/ETH, FH, HF) in information technology, business informatics, or similar
- At least 5 - 10 years of professional experience in IT Project Management area with a sound and solid IT background
- Experienced in managing large, complex IT projects within the insurance industry or the financial sector
- An understanding of technology and its trends such as Cloud, Big Data, AI and ML, Internet of Things, Data-Driven Decision Making, etc. and the impact of each trend on the insurance marketplace
- Solution-oriented, pro-active personality with project leadership experience who is also motivated and enjoys practical (hands-on) work
- Very good presentation (PowerPoint) and report (Excel and Word) skills
- Ability to work under pressure, cooperatively and capable to describe complex issues in a comprehensible and stakeholder-oriented way
- Team player, intrinsically motivated in new topics and able to navigate quickly in between priorities
- You are familiar with both classic and agile project management methods including its collaboration tools and have appropriate certifications such as IPMA, PMI, SAFe or similar
- Fluency in German and English, French and Italian language skills are advantegeous
