Your roleMain focus of your role at AutoForm is to create and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers at an executive level (decision-makers and -influencers). For that matter, you are able to fully understand relevant customer’s processes, and you are the perfect counterpart for conveying the value gained by using AutoForm methodologies in these processes. The client group that you will cover predominantly consists of automotive OEM’s, tier one stamping and body assembly suppliers and die-shops.
In your daily course of business, you will work closely with your colleague Technical Account Managers to proactively identify and address customer needs and translate that into solutions offered by AutoForm methodologies. Your technical background in an area similar to that of AutoForm - or in an adjacent area – will be of great use in this respect. This of course combined with your strong commercial strengths and capabilities.
- You will identify opportunities to find new and grow existing accounts and thus turnover, meeting annual targets;
- You will be in the lead of (key) account management, including the development and implementation of account management strategies, managing multiple accounts and developing positive working relationships with all customer touch points;
- You will operate with a defined regional scope and responsibility: Benelux, Scandinavia, the Baltic states, Hungary and Romania;
- You will be a key player in introducing new products to existing customers and prospects;
- You will be the main driver behind customer retention, renewals, upselling and customer satisfaction. In that respect, you will also initiate and manage customer evaluations and product focus projects;
- You will work with the AutoForm technical team to engage in pre-sales discussions and deliver AutoForm software demonstrations;
- You will organize and execute events and be present at trade shows/ exhibitions/ conferences;
- On the basis of self-initiative, you will identify opportunities for blogs/articles on relevant topics and customer projects;
- You will be a frequent user of the CRM system, ensuring keeping track of prospecting, forecasting and reporting;
- You will manage software/licensing agreements and the licensing of products.
- You are an experienced engineer or sales professional with more than 9 years of experience in an international environment, preferably concerning complex technical (software) products. Ideally your background lies in the automotive industry focusing on car development or production. Any experience in sheet metal forming or BiW assembly processes is obviously preferred;
- You have a higher professional education (HBO) or university degree in a relevant direction (such as automotive/mechanical/industrial engineering, materials science, simulation engineering, technical business administration) or equivalent professional experience;
- You have a proven track record in planning and managing of sales or technical projects and developing and maintaining strategies for key client accounts;You have strong negotiation skills and ideally have experience in closing larger deals;
- You know your way around in the automotive ecosystem in which AutoForm operates and will be able to develop the ability to communicate AutoForm’s vision to the envisaged marketplace;
- You have strong and effective communication and presentation skills and are used to working in an international sales driven environment.
- You are highly motivated and organized;
- You have solid account, project management and/or sales/customer relationship skills;
- You take ownership, have a well-developed self-management and self-starter nature and are used to work in a disciplined fashion;
- You are fluent in English, with Dutch/German/French or Swedish as a plus;
- You are willing and able to travel abroad on a frequent basis.
