We are currently looking for a Marketing Acceleration & Excellence Associate Director to join our EPD Headquarters team and help shape the future of our global brands.
Primary Job Function:
The Associate Director of Marketing Acceleration & Excellence will lead the evolution of marketing into a future-ready, technology-enabled function that delivers personalized, data-driven customer engagement at scale. This transformational role will be responsible for reimagining how marketing operates globally and locally—driving efficiency, agility, and differentiation through the adoption of advanced technologies such as AI, automation, and analytics.

This role sets the strategic vision and operational model for marketing modernization globally and locally, ensuring resilience, efficiency, and differentiation through advanced technologies such as AI, automation, and analytics.
The role will define and implement a strategic roadmap to modernize marketing capabilities, processes, and talent across the marketing organization. It will anticipate future skillsets and organizational needs, pilot emerging technologies in real-world use cases, and partner with global and regional brand teams to redesign workflows that maximize impact and scalability.
The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, passionate about innovation, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement, with a proven ability to influence across complex matrix environments and change mindset capabilities.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision & Operating Model

Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for AI-driven engagement, data intelligence, and MarTech.

Align transformation initiatives across global and affiliate markets in partnership with Global Integrated Marketing, IT, Compliance, and Executive Leadership.

Partner with the rest of Global Integrated Marketing, IT, Comex, and OEC to align transformation across global/affiliate markets.

Reinvent workflows to incorporate corporate approved technology i.e. agentic AI, GenAI, which serve to drive efficiency and solidify our differentiation in the market.Technology & Tools Enablement

Design modular CRM/CDP, and engagement stacks enabling personalized outreach at scale.

Lead AI experimentation pilots (e.g. autonomous agents, digital twins, agentic systems, AI enabled platforms, content automation—and scale successful ROI-driving solutions.

Establish trust-by-design frameworks ensuring transparent, compliant AI systems.
Data & Performance Architecture

Work with the business effectiveness team to build centralized analytics architecture for outcome tracking, funnel optimization, and customer value improvement.

Implement, together with the business effectiveness team, AI-powered measurement with ROI, marketing mix modelling or attribution models.

Embed continuous intelligence via automation and AI agents for campaign orchestration.
Process Excellence & Operating Cadence

Enable the shift to an autonomous marketing function that learns and adapts.

Champion agile pilots with learn-measure-scale loops accelerating transformation across global and affiliates.
Organization & Talent Enablement
-
Build marketing capability frameworks for AI fluency (crawl-walk-run model), upskilling, trust, ethics, and data stewardship.

Upskill talent through active participation in pilots enabling AI-required marketing knowledge.
Governance, Compliance & Ethics
-
Work with OEC and privacy to ensure digital trust and ethical considerations in AI systems as required for pharma compliance.

Establish data governance to manage marketing tools/processes supporting consistent yet flexible experiences.

Report transformation KPIs (cost efficiency, ROI, adoption, compliance metrics) through a global executive dashboard.
Minimum Education:
-
Master’s/MBA preferred, emphasis in life sciences, tech, or marketing
Minimum Experience/Key success factors
-
≥12 years large-matrix pharmaceutical/CXO environment (global + affiliate); ≥5 years leading digital/MarTech transformation

Experience in emerging markets preferred; Pharma experience a plus but not required

Experience in successfully applying insights and research to drive business decisions

Technical skills: MarTech & analytics platforms (Salesforce, Veeva, Adobe), GenAI, data architecture (Synapse, Delta Lake); AI-human workflows

AI proficiency, marketing automation, data privacy GDPR/HIPAA; Agile
