Job summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on technician to support the development, testing, and production of our curtain-coating technology for advanced batteries. This role bridges hands-on lab work and pilot-scale production, focusing on electrode fabrication, cell assembly, and performance testing. In this role you will assist engineers in producing battery electrodes, operating manufacturing equipment, assembling battery cells, conducting experiments, analyzing performance data, and maintaining lab equipment. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player, who has a passion for high-impact technology development, energy storage, and sustainability. They are comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix electrode slurries, coat electrodes, and perform calendaring and drying processes
• Operate pilot-scale battery fabrication and test equipment
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assemble battery cells and test fi xtures following standard operating procedures
• Measurements and QC control according to SOP
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support design of experiments and new material evaluations
• Accurately document test procedures, results, and observations
• Follow all safety guidelines and support a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Technical certification in laboratory or production environment (“Laborant*in EFZ, Techniker*in HF”)
• Passionate in the field of engineering, chemistry, materials science, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in a battery lab or manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with lab tools and equipment (glove box, mixers, balances, cyclers, etc.)
• Familiarity with lithium-ion or other rechargeable battery chemistries and manufacturing processes
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and standard operating procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional R&D environment
• Familiarity with CAD and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Python, JMP) is a benefit
