INTERNSHIP
SUMMARY
The Intern, International Supply Chain, will support the transformation and optimization of Incyte’s international supply chain activities, with a strong focus on the introduction of a new Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partner, the gathering of user requirements, and the development of operational reporting and performance tools.
Based in Morges, Switzerland, the intern will work closely with the International Supply Chain team and various cross-functional stakeholders (IT, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing Sites and Affiliates). This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in end-to-end supply chain processes, SAP operations, and process engineering within a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
The position reports to the Manager, International Supply Chain Planning.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting and Performance Management
- Consolidate data from SAP, Excel, and partner systems to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Design and build reporting tools and dashboards to monitor partners and overall supply chain performance.
- Identify opportunities to standardize KPIs across the international supply chain network.
- Contribute to streamlining, automating and digitalizing supply chain activities through robotic process automation (RPA) or AI driven initiatives.
- Develop automated reporting templates to support management reviews and operational follow-up.
3PL Integration and Logistics Support
- Contribute to the implementation of a 3PL partner for international operations.
- Participate in process definition and mapping between manufacturing sites, the 3PL, and final customers.
- Support testing, validation, and documentation of new logistics flows and interfaces between SAP and 3PL systems.
- Assist in data setup and validation for materials, customers, and shipping points to ensure smooth go-live.
- Contribute to the monitoring of logistics performance, establishing relevant KPIs (lead times, order accuracy, on-time delivery, etc.).
User Requirements and Process Documentation
- Engage with internal users to collect, formalize, and document business requirements linked to 3PL implementation and SAP processes.
- Translate operational needs into functional specifications or process improvements.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collect user feedback for system or process adjustments.
- Help update SOPs and work instructions to reflect new workflows and responsibilities.
SAP and Data Accuracy
- Support day-to-day activities related to SAP data management, ensuring integrity of master data and transactional flows.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues linked to logistics and planning processes in SAP.
- Contribute to process improvements and training materials for SAP users.
Collaboration and Compliance
- Participate and provide inputs to selected intra or inter-departments projects.
- Work closely with teams in Europe and the US to align data flows, logistics processes, and performance reporting.
- Provide general support to the supply chain operations in Europe, US and Japan.
- Act within company policies, legal and compliance frameworks, and uphold Incyte’s standards of business integrity and ethics.
- Contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and collaboration.

PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Student or recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in Supply Chain Management, Process/Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Basic understanding and interest in supply chain management.
- Interest or basic knowledge/understanding of the life science industry is a plus.
- Languages: Fluent in English (the company language) is required; other European languages an asset.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data cleaning, macros) and interest in data visualization tools (Power BI, Power Query).
- Understanding of logistics and 3PL processes (warehousing, transportation, order management).
- Interest in process design, digitalization, and system integration.
- Knowledge of SAP (logistics, supply chain, or master data modules) an asset.
- Soft Skills:
- Analytical and structured thinker with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact in a multicultural environment.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
