Introduction
Spacetek's technology has its origins in scientific space flight. We use this expertise to design, manufacture and distribute compact and robust time-of-flight mass spectrometers (TOF-MS) for industrial and space applications. Our focus is to close the gap in the current lack of process control of existing and future manufacturing technologies in the semiconductor industry.
Our products redefine the real-time analysis of chemical processes in physical processes. This massively improves process control and increases production yields. At the same time, waste and environmental impact are minimized. Our innovation is used in an international environment with business partners in Germany, Korea and Japan. Our network is growing rapidly in Asia, Europe and the USA.
The company is based in Switzerland (Gümligen) and has a team of 41 members. Our company has offices in South Korea (Dongtan, Hwaseong) and Taiwan (Taichung).
We are looking for a motivated and precise worker to join our R&D team.

Your Responsibilities:
- Characterise instrument behaviour under different measurement conditions; develop and carry out testing strategies
- Organise data collection to facilitate insights into instrument behaviour
- Work with the data science team to extract useful information from test results
- Interface with R&D scientists and engineers to translate test results into instrument improvements
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements
- Prepare test reports and work with partners to achieve instrument certification
Your Profile
- Degree in a technical field
- Experience with industrial measurement instruments, preferably (time-of-flight, TOF) mass spectrometry
- A willingness to learn about TOF mass spectrometry from our in-house experts
- Experience with vacuum systems is an advantage
- An understanding of data collection and management
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), German proficiency is a plus
The location for this advertised position is at the headquarters in Gümligen (Bern). Start date to be agreed.
