Your Role
We are seeking a Visual Arts Teacher (50%) to join our Secondary School from August 2026.
This role focuses primarily on Middle School (Grades 6–10, IB MYP) and is ideal for a creative and collaborative educator who is passionate about fostering artistic expression and inquiry-based learning in adolescents.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, the role includes flexible, ad hoc contributions to support the Visual Arts programme and wider Secondary School activities as needed.
This position is open to locally based candidates with a valid Swiss work permit.
What makes you our ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree and a recognised teaching qualification in Visual Arts (Secondary level).
- Experience teaching IB MYP or strong familiarity with inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ recent Secondary School teaching experience.
- Ability to teach a range of visual arts practices, including digital and/or lens-based media.
- Strong classroom management skills and understanding of adolescent development (ages 11–16).
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
- Collaborative, organised, and proactive, with a student-centred mindset.
- Confident in using technology to support learning and creativity.
- Valid Swiss work permit or eligibility to work in Switzerland is required.
