Senior Motor & Liability Treaty Underwriter DACH & CEE Markets 80%-100% (m/f/d)Our business is articulated around both traditional and customised reinsurance solutions. Our team, which consists of underwriters and pricing actuaries, operates within a successful model where underwriters have full client responsibility and is organised around two pillars: Property and Casualty.
To support in reaching the ambition we have set ourselves in Casualty, we seek a motivated specialist to join our Motor & Liability team, serving clients and partners across the DACH and Central & Eastern European markets. The successful candidate will become part of a highly motivated team that takes pride in a collaborative and flexible work mode that is based on trust, dedication and support.
Your responsibilities
Propose strategies and define target clients and programmes for area under jobholder’s responsibility Manage and grow a profitable underwriting portfolio in alignment with our risk appetite and strategic objectives Establish and manage autonomously client and broker relationships at senior level acting as key account manager Analyse risks and exposures for the purpose of underwriting, pricing and accumulation control Ensure market coordination with the different underwriting units Cooperate actively with key internal stakeholders outside of Casualty department Contribute to reporting and annual planning processes Contribute to developing and maintaining underwriting expertise
Your profile
Qualification: University degree or equivalent education within the insurance or reinsurance industry
Experience: 5+ years of experience as (re)insurance underwriter in casualty. Sound grasp of Motor (re)insurance and/or several Liability classes (such as General Liability, Public/Product Liability, or Professional Liability). Experience and in-depth knowledge of the DACH and/or Central and Eastern Europe would be considered a significant advantage.
Skills: Excellent in communication; being confident, acting with engaging manner and having good negotiations skills. Can-do mindset with high level of business acumen, including the ability to deliver on clients expectations and requirements. Strong team player showing willingness to try new things and propose new ideas.
Language: Excellent command of English and German, any other European language would be an asset.
