We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Business Software Engineer to support, enhance, and oversee the evolution of our internal business application ecosystem.
This role combines strong technical skills, deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to future AI integration, process automation, and intelligent tooling initiatives across the organization that add real business value.
The position requires someone who takes a practical, hands-on approach to maintaining and improving our business applications, while also listening, questioning, and guiding stakeholders from concept to delivery.
The ideal candidate is able to navigate complex and unconventional business processes, challenge assumptions, and translate ambiguous or conflicting requirements into clear, feasible, scalable, and pragmatic solutions/projects.

The candidate must be able to understand complex business dynamics, navigate uncertainty, engage stakeholders and external consultants effectively, contributing to the optimization of existing systems and leading AI integration initiatives by identifying opportunities where intelligent tools can deliver real business value.
The role requires the ability to interact effectively with both highly technical specialists and business-oriented colleagues, acting as a bridge between the two by translating needs and constraints into shared, actionable solutions. While this is not a full-time development role, the candidate must be technically solid enough to understand coding-related challenges and collaborate with senior developers to identify the most effective implementation approaches.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand, map, and refine business processes and requirements
- Translate unclear or evolving requests into structured functional and technical specifications and viceversa
- Drive solution design for our in-house business applications, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical feasibility
- Identify opportunities for automation and AI-assisted capabilities, guiding the organization in adopting emerging technologies
- Coordinate external consultants and technology partners, ensuring alignment and timely delivery
- Advocate for scalable, future-proof solutions that support long-term organizational growth
- Occasionally travel to European offices to gather business requirements and understand local user needs
- Ability to operate and decide autonomously within the boundaries of the position
Desired technical Knowledge & expertise:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering AND technical business process analysis
- Experience with, or openness to learning, Microsoft .NET, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, Angular
- Understanding of modern automation patterns; interest in AI-based systems and integration
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of Cloud platforms (Azure) is a plus
- Understanding of Project Management (capacity to plan and prioritize)
