Lead operational HSE activities in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment and support annual EHS targets aligned with global objectives
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal HSE requirements (e.g., ChemV, Major Accidents Ordinance, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
Develop, implement, and monitor the site-specific HSE management system
Oversee processes related to plant safety, occupational health, hygiene, and ergonomics
Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety evaluations (including explosion protection and hazardous substances)
Review and approve EHS-related operating procedures
Train and educate employees on EHS topics
Support audits and inspections by authorities (e.g., SUVA, cantonal agencies, FOEN)
Investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental events
Collaborate with departments such as Production, Development, Quality, Engineering, and HR
Provide HSE support for projects (e.g., equipment qualification)
Contribute to sustainability initiatives in coordination with CSR/ESG
Who you are
Degree in natural sciences, engineering, or a related field (e.g., chemistry, process or environmental engineering)
Certified training in occupational safety (e.g., EKAS-recognized safety engineer, ASGS, HSE specialist, SiBe, CSP)
At least 3 years of HSE experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical setting
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Strong knowledge of Swiss and EU HSE regulations, including hazardous materials and waste management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels
Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
High level of initiative, responsibility, and independence
