How you can make an impact
As (Assistant) Manager you will be part of our Financial Services Tax (FSI) team and take a key role within our team of specialists, supporting our clients, Swiss and international banks, insurance and trust companies as well as asset managers navigating the complex and constantly evolving tax regulatory landscape.
- Embrace the opportunity to take on functions with client contact and responsibility for cross-divisional projects from day one
- Take responsibility for exciting implementation projects, complex advisory mandates as well as interesting review projects focusing on tax aspects relevant to the financial services industry, including
- Client tax reporting regimes such as the US FATCA, the OECD Automatic Exchange of Information (CRS) and Crypto Assets Reporting Framework (CARF);
- EU Directives such as DAC6, DAC8 and FASTER;
- Transaction related taxes such as the Swiss Stamp Duty and European FTTs;
- Withholding taxes on financial income, including Qualified Intermediary rules, Swiss and foreign withholding tax as well as related refund procedures;
- Taxation of financial products under Swiss as well as foreign tax rules, incl. special regimes such as §871(m) or §1446.
- Client tax reporting regimes such as the US FATCA, the OECD Automatic Exchange of Information (CRS) and Crypto Assets Reporting Framework (CARF);
- Work in a cross-divisional as well as international team and collaborate with other teams around the world
- Lead and inspire juniors and help them grow within their career.
Who We Are Looking For
- You have a Master degree preferably in business administration, economics or law, ideally with tax knowledge
- You have minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in the areas mentioned above gained in a big four or in house at a financial institution
- Any additional knowledge in Swiss taxes, Swiss stamp duty, withholding tax rules and/or AML/KYC would be an advantage
- You have a positive, collaborative and pragmatic attitude as well as the willingness to take over responsibility
- You have a proactive, detail-oriented, and service-minded approach
- You have the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- You are keen to learn and develop yourself and a team of junior staff
- You can speak and write fluently in French and English. Italian would be an advantage. In addition, you are at ease speaking in front of clients and larger audiences.
