Job Description
As the Data & Process Analyst, you will be the organization's go-to person for diagnosing structural data issues, tracing them back to the business processes that created them, and driving end-to-end remediation - from root cause analysis through data cleansing to redesigning the underlying process so the problem doesn't recur.
This is a hands-on, investigative role. You won't just flag data problems - you'll dig into the detail, understand exactly where and why a process breaks down, and then own the project to fix both the data and the process. You'll work across business teams, IT, and senior leadership to deliver lasting improvements rather than quick patches.
Key responsibilities
-
Diagnose root causes of data issues by analyzing patterns, data flows, and lineage to identify where and why data quality breaks down;
-
Trace issues to business processes, understanding how operational workflows create inconsistencies or errors;
-
Redesign and optimize processes to prevent data issues at the source, embedding standards, validation rules, and controls;
-
Lead end-to-end remediation initiatives, combining data cleansing with process improvements and clear success criteria;
-
Coordinate cross-functional execution across business, IT, and data teams, ensuring alignment and timely delivery;
-
Establish governance and monitoring, including KPIs, feedback loops, and clear data ownership to sustain improvements;
-
Drive scalability and efficiency by enabling automation, reducing manual effort, and ensuring processes handle growing complexity.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field;
-
5+ year of experience in in data quality, data management, or business process analysis - ideally combining both;
-
Experience in private markets, asset management, or financial services;
-
Strong root-cause analysis capabilities, with proven ability to investigate data issues and trace them back to business processes;
-
End-to-end project experience, leading improvement initiatives from analysis through implementation;
-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex topics into clear frameworks and actionable insights;
-
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging effectively with business, IT, and senior leadership;
-
Solid understanding of data ecosystems, including data flows, business rules, lineage, and platforms, with attention to detail and at the same time a big-picture mindset;
-
Familiarity with PE systems such as DealCloud, Investran and iLevel;
-
Exposure to AI/automation concepts, data product thinking, process mapping tools (preferred).
