Apply for this exciting position in Zurich’s Group Compliance department and become the Senior Compliance Officer for Zurich Global Employee Benefits Solutions (ZGEBS), based in Zurich, Switzerland. Zurich Global Employee Benefits Solutions (ZGEBS) helps multinational companies optimise and finance their global employee benefit programmes through innovative risk management, pooling, captive and international insurance solutions. The Senior Compliance Officer will report to the Head of Financial Crime, and will have a matrix reporting line into the CEO of ZGEBS.
In addition, you will support the Head of Financial Crime in key areas including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Bribery & Corruption, and Automatic Exchange of Information (AEI), in close collaboration with many team members in a truly international environment.

As a trusted advisor, you will combine subject-matter expertise with sound judgment, curiosity, adaptability and a collaborative mindset, translating regulatory and ethical requirements into practical, business-relevant solutions.
Zurich Global Employee Benefits Solutions is responsible for:
- Pooling Solutions and Captive Services (formerly part of International Group Risk Solutions)
- International Programs, encompassing Group Life, Disability and Accident (known internally as International Programs for Employees)
- This is done for multinational companies which are generally defined as having at least 3000 employees in at least two countries.
What you will do
- You will become the Senior Compliance Officer of ZGEBS. As such, you will be in charge of:
- Maintaining an adequate compliance organization.
- Promoting a compliance culture through regular communication with the CLP leadership team, as well as encouraging management to discuss compliance topics.
- Conducting compliance risk assessments in coordination with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Identifying external compliance requirements and trends together with legal.
- Implementing of compliance policies of the Zurich Group and local compliance policies.
- Training and communication with management, if necessary.
- Monitoring and control of adherence to compliance policies
- Drafting and submission of reports to the management Committee and other governance bodies with analyses and necessary measures, as well as confirmation of their implementation.
- Providing expert compliance advice, guidance and input on matters such as sanctions, data privacy, ABC, and other compliance risks that may impact the operations of ZGEBS.
- Managing relationships with other assurance functions, including Legal, Risk and Audit, to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance and risk management, also in relation to the overarching Group Re team.
- Participating or leading other projects and initiatives that align with the requirements of ZGEBS.
- In addition, you will support the Head of Financial Crime in areas such as AML, Trade & Economic Sanctions, ABC, as well as in his role as Compliance Partner for Life, Health and Bank Distribution.
What you bring
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in control functions (Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk, Legal or other internal control and governance function)
- Strong background in relevant laws & regulations as well as industry standards
- Strong analytical skills with economics/finance/business administration/law and background, preferably with a Master’s degree in one of these fields
- Ability to deliver effective management information and reporting
- Demonstrated learning agility, intellectual curiosity and openness to new technologies, ways of working and evolving regulatory expectations
- Strong collaboration, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively across functions, cultures and levels of seniority
- Ability to prioritize effectively, navigate complexity and use digital collaboration tools confidently in a dynamic international environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to deal with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, in particular credibility and capability to work closely with senior management
- Ability to cope efficiently with multi-task situations and to work independently
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Good command of MS applications (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook) and sharing platforms (SharePoint, MS 365)
- Knowledge of software applications, such as, MS Access and MS Project
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential
