Business Application Specialist (m/f/d)

What you will move in this role:

Applications

Operation, support, and continuous development of our business applications (ERP, Finance, CRM, and DMS systems)

Handling incidents, implementing service requests, and driving continuous improvements and upgrades

Data & Business Intelligence

Managing data integrations and interfaces while ensuring data quality

Developing and enhancing reporting and BI solutions (Power BI) as well as performing analyses and evaluations (SQL)

AI-Supported Development

Developing small tools, automations, and prototypes using modern AI coding assistants

Leveraging AI to increase efficiency in data analysis, reporting, and process optimization

Business & Processes

Serving as the point of contact for business departments (particularly Finance & Controlling) regarding application-related questions

Gathering, analyzing, and implementing business requirements as well as continuously optimizing business processes

What skills and experience you should bring:

Completed degree in Business Information Systems (University of Applied Sciences/University) or a comparable qualification

Experience in the operation or support of business applications, ideally ERP systems

Solid SQL skills and experience with BI tools, preferably Power BI

Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and an enthusiasm for implementing solutions quickly and pragmatically

Basic knowledge of a scripting language (e.g., Python or PowerShell); experience with Infor, d.velop d.3, or Lobster is an advantage

Strong understanding of business processes as well as an independent and structured way of working

Very good German and good English language skills
