Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced person to lead the product development team for our FinanceScout24 Insurance products, consisting of a Product Manager, Product Designer, and Engineering Manager.
As the Head of Product, Design & Engineering, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our car insurance comparison marketplace.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the car insurance industry, a passion for building great products, and a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will work closely with the Managing Director and other members of the leadership team to develop and implement the overall product roadmap, ensure seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams, and continuously drive innovation and customer value.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Develop and implement a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our insurance comparison marketplace based on the FinanceScout24 vision and strategy
• Lead, coach and be a mentor a team of Product Manager, Product Designer, and Engineering Manager to ensure the successful execution of the product roadmap
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Data Analytics, to drive successful product launches and ensure continuous product improvement 
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners and industry experts, to drive business growth and product innovation
• Setting up business goals and objectives
• Prioritising the initiatives you and your team will be working on based on customer feedback, market research, and industry trends
• Co-responsible for budgeting & forecasting of your area of responsibility together with Controlling & Leadership Team
• Define and track key performance metrics, and use data-driven insights to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities and ensure our product offering remains competitive and innovative
• In this role you will be part of the FinanceScout24 Leadership Team

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of car insurance market OR strong understanding / experience in comparison marketplaces
• Experience in building or managing insurance products is a plus
• Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
• Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and overcome obstacles to product success
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to use data and metrics to make informed product decisions
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high degree of adaptability and resilience
• 8+ years of experience in leading cross-functionals with a proven track record of building and launching successful products in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Experienced in customer relationship management

Additional Information

Your first 3/6/9 months

• Three months - thoroughly understand our existing car insurance comparison marketplace, establish relationships with your team and our partners and contribute to the strategic planning and vision for future enhancements
• Six months - Contribute to the product roadmap, leveraging customer feedback, market research, and industry trends to prioritize and drive the development of new features and improvements that increase user engagement and satisfaction
• Nine months - successfully launched product enhancements, developed a deep understanding of the car insurance industry landscape, and collaborated effectively with cross-functional teams to drive measurable business growth
