Procurement Program Specialist – 12 months contract

As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.

Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

Your responsibilities

►Representing the procurement interface in internal meetings (IPTs, configuration reviews, etc.) for the defined scope of responsibilities

►Informing Category Management about program-related requirements, eliciting targets and constraints that constitute the basis of sourcing & contracting activities and motoring implementation

►Preparing Procurement Plans for development initiatives (new products, kits, customizations, etc.), controlling the defined scope of work, budget, schedule and requirements, and monitoring adherence to milestones and targets

►Collaborating with PM (Program Management) to define bought-out cost of each product line (basic HC and major kits/ customizations) in relation to defined targets (recurring cost, direct maintenance cost and non-recurring cost) managing the overview and reporting the status with clear tracking of cost changes and drivers

►Managing with Category Management (CM) achievement of the procurement cost targets of each product line, while intercepting the impact of changes in scope/ design/ configuration

►Overviewing configuration changes impacting procurement perimeter and playing as a main interface for impact evaluation and monitoring of implementation

►Leading project development with the suppliers

Tasks:

►Prepare Procurement Plan for Development initiatives and monitor progress for the defined perimeter

►Support Category Managers with program requirements (schedule, needs, cost, etc.) for the defined perimeter

►Lead project development with suppliers supporting Category Managers, collaborating with engineering and quality, and being a focal point for intercompany stakeholders

►Encourage optimization of requirements to improve cost and lead time

Participate to Configuration Change Reviews identifying impacts on cost and activities and defining internal corrective actions

►Manage procurement inputs consolidation for new initiatives/commercial opportunities and their appropriate and coherent use

►Participate in internal meetings on supply chain status to understand impact on procurement activities and define recovery actions in collaboration with CM and SC for implementation

►Support other program relevant activities impacting procurement scope

Your qualifications

► University degree in business administration or equivalent

► Minimum 2 years of experience in Strategic Purchasing in international environment and in complex industry

► Experience in Project/Program Management

► High communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)

► Self-confident professional with strong business partnering skills

► Knowledge of aviation regulations is a plus

► C1 English spoken and written, German as an advantage
