Five Senses Dining AG, newly opening Kappo restaurant, is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef de Japanese Cuisine. We are looking for a culinary master who can bring the authentic taste of Japan to our esteemed guests. If you have a passion for Japanese cuisine and a desire to lead a dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.


  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of Kappo or Kaiseki restaurant.
  • Ensure the quality and taste of the food is up to the highest standards.
  • Manage kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks.
  • Develop new recipes and menus, keeping up with the latest trends in Japanese cuisine.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.


  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a Kappo or Kaiseki restaurant in Japan. This is a must.
  • Excellent knowledge of Japanese cuisine and the culinary techniques required.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Japanese or German is a plus.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent is preferred.
