Private Family Chef

Location: Lugano, Switzerland

A family residing in Lugano is looking for a professional, meticulous, and attentive private chef with experience in private households or high-end restaurants. The main responsibility is the daily preparation of delicious, diverse, and well-balanced meals, taking into account culinary preferences, dietary restrictions, and a high level of service.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for the family and, when needed, for guests.

• Creating seasonal and varied menus in coordination with the principal/family.

• Considering individual tastes, food allergies, and dietary needs.

• Purchasing products: selecting high-quality and fresh ingredients (including organic products).

• Managing kitchen inventory, rotating stock, and handling the food budget and shopping list.

• Maintaining impeccable cleanliness in the kitchen and complying with hygiene standards.

• Preparing meals for guests, holiday dinners, or receptions.

• Table setting and presentation (when required).

• Coordinating with other household staff (assistant, housekeeper, etc.).

• Ability to accompany the family on trips (by agreement).

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a private chef in a family or a high-end restaurant.

• Excellent knowledge of Mediterranean, European, Russian, and modern healthy cuisine.

• Ability to adapt recipes to individual preferences and dietary plans (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free).

• Fluent in Russian; knowledge of English or Italian is a plus.

• High standards of hygiene and cleanliness; familiarity with European sanitary regulations (HACCP).

• Discretion, responsibility, a friendly attitude, and ability to work in a private setting.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and an irregular schedule when needed.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license is an advantage.
