Formula E Sporting Coordinator (Geneva - Switzerland)
Join the FIA and contribute to the organization and operational excellence of the FIA Formula E World Championship, the world’s leading electric single‑seater racing series. As a Formula E Sporting Coordinator, you will play a central role in supporting the championship’s sporting governance, administrative processes, and event operations.
Working under the supervision of the Head of Championship – Formula E, you will ensure the smooth coordination of administrative, sporting, and operational activities across the season. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and passion for motorsport will be essential to supporting the FIA’s mission of delivering a world‑class championship.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SPORTING COORDINATION & EVENT SUPPORT
- Monitor and update the Formula E Championship calendars.
- Coordinate activities and maintain communication with National Sporting Authorities (ASNs) and FIA officials.
- Manage competition VISA documentation, ensuring all agreements, insurance documents, and timetables are validated.
- Oversee post‑event administrative follow‑up.
REMOTE OPERATIONS & EVENT WEEKEND SUPPORT
- Assist the Race Director and Sporting Delegate from the Remote Operation Centre (ROC) in Geneva during race weekends.
- Set up and calibrate the ROC for each event, including technical equipment and assistant workstations.
- Update penalty tracking sheets after each race.
- Prepare, distribute, and print the event handbook for each competition.
ADMINISTRATION & CHAMPIONSHIP SUPPORT
- Oversee administrative duties for the FIA ABB Formula E World Championship.
- Support the administration of Formula E Working Groups and the Formula E Commission.
- Assist the Head of Championship with meeting preparations, minutes, transcriptions, and follow‑up on decisions.
- Ensure timely distribution of documentation and maintain accurate records for all meetings and decisions.
OPERATIONAL, FINANCIAL & CONTRACTUAL SUPPORT
- Manage invoices and payment tracking for FIA officials and suppliers.
- Prepare DTS and ensure consultant and supplier contracts remain up to date.
- Create purchase orders and monitor payment status.
- Support transversal departmental projects and operational activities.
- Contribute to improving processes, tools, and coordination within the Sporting Department.
PROFILE:
- University degree in Business Management, Sport Management, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in motorsport administration or within a sporting federation is a strong asset
- Experience working with teams, trackside, circuits, or ASNs is a strong advantage.
- Background in managing sports events is a significant plus.
- Passion for motorsport is desirable.
- Native or fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office and Adobe tools (InDesign, Photoshop).
- Excellent organizational abilities, with strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Rigorous, proactive, and able to work effectively in a dynamic international environment.
- Ability to work over weekends and on nightshift (around 14 events per year)
