About kumai

kumai is a Zurich-based consultancy for data, business intelligence, AI and software development. We build tailored solutions from strategy through to live applications. AI-enabled work, agentic workflows and our own VIA platform are part of our everyday work.

What to expect

• Full-Stack Development: You design and develop AI-enabled software solutions, from the data model to the front end. This is at the core of our work.
• Solution Building: You solve challenges from client projects, from concept through to production use.
• AI & Agentic Systems: RAG pipelines, knowledge assistants and agent-based teams (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).
• Data & BI: Data models, ETL processes and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI / Fabric.
• Projects & Business Development: You take ownership of project work and contribute to business development and pitches, with commission participation.

What you bring

• A technical background in computer science, business information systems or a comparable field, combined with an affinity for business, or a business background such as a commercial apprenticeship, business administration or a comparable field, combined with an affinity for technology and AI.
• Experience in full-stack development is an advantage, ideally with projects or solutions you can show us.
• An understanding of system architectures, data and business intelligence, ideally within the Microsoft technology stack.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, initiative and open, client-centred communication. Fluency in German and English.
• An interest in or experience within financial services, banking and finance.
• Willingness to work regularly on site in Zurich. Remote work is possible, but permanent residence abroad is not.
