Stiftung Schweizer Tafel

Every day, the Swiss Foundation Schweizer Tafel collects around 30 tons of perfectly good surplus food from retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers and distributes it free of charge to over 500 social institutions such as homeless shelters, soup kitchens, emergency shelters and women's refuges. In this way, we build bridges between abundance and scarcity and help people in need in Switzerland. At the same time, we make an active contribution to climate protection: by saving this food from going to waste, we prevent the emission of more than 12,783 tons of CO2 each year.
