With the BVE - one has the opportunity to engage in meaningful projects for the population of the canton - there are innumerable excellently qualified specialists and a good working climate - the topic of equality and work-life balance is genuinely lived out (high proportion of part-time work, freely configurable working hours, etc.) - one has - assuming one's own initiative - quite a lot of room for manoeuvre in terms of responsibility and design

- the cooperation between the affiliated offices could certainly be intensified further - the IT support is partly resinous and partly customer-oriented (tickets are depreciated prematurely as completed/resolved, responsibilities for solutions are shifted back and forth)

Collegial, appreciative working atmosphere. Good error culture, mutual support in case of bottlenecks.

Rigid wage policy imposed by canton, in particular lack of funds to really grant salary increases for good and very good performance. No active promotion of talent.

- Outdated computer systems, hardly any interfaces - Nepotism (acquaintances are hired) - big fermenting thought - top management often no WB after basic training - Appreciation is often lacking - Work systems and management as in the 1930s - Build up a culture of error and criticism (especially among superiors) - Obsolete management system (service) - no possibility to have a say although it is of course included in all guidelines - Supervisors often don't control the PC and the programs. - Advertising for part-time work / but basically one should be 100% at the workplace

The canton is modernising, which has resulted in many exciting projects.

Speed and consistent implementation of changes should be improved.
